A beautiful, inspirational song directed by Baz Luhrmann, the acclaimed director of movies like Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliet. This song, written by Mary Schmich, was published as a column in Chicago Tribune in 1997 titled “Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young“. It has been sung by Lee Perry and Quindon Traver. One of the most popular songs of all times, it became a sort of an urban legend. This song, in some ways, is similar to the Obama music video, a lyrical manifestation of the “Yes we can!” speech, which is currently a rage on the internet.
