Top 10 reasons why Sarah Palin turned me off in yesterday’s debate

10) Her saying “Gotcha” and “Betcha” made me wonder whether she’d talk like that with the Prime Minister of Spain…or would she?

9) That “Joe-6 pack” thing…Well, I’d really have someone with half a brain than six packs…look where those Joe 6-packs of this administration have landed America in the last eight years!

8) That dumb woman criticized Obama’s policies.

7) Was she reading out of her prepared notes? Well, that was a down-turner….duh!

6) Her repeated use of the word MAVERICKS. We saw how a maverick (read: McCain) behaves, in the last two months. Choosing a completely inexperienced, ignorant woman to be the next President, gambling with the economy by politicizing the issue to the highest extent and just acting plain stupid on several occasions. A maverick is just a pretty word for being irresponsible, gut (rather than brain) reactive and completely intolerant of other’s opinion, with a firm fixation on one’s own.

5) Her suggestion over the past few weeks that her being the governor of Alaska for one and half years makes her an expert on energy. That is outrageous. Its like saying I have a heart, so I am a heart surgeon. Ridiculous! She wouldn’t even be able to name the crops used for biofuel production (NOT EVEN CORN!!, despite being so corny)

4) Her blatant affirmation of Dick Cheney’s correctness on the role and the power of the Vice-President. Beware guys, here comes the next Cheney!

3) She did not answer the healthcare point raised by Biden. Would McCain be really taxing my healthcare? If thats the case, oh hell!

2) She never gave any specifics…the answers were too general. I “betcha” she did not know half a thing of what she was talking. Her handlers have successfully converted her into a chirping parrot. She says the “key words” and hopes that people will trust America and the world to be safe in her hands. Someone please stop her!

and the top reason why she turned me off…

1) She is on ticket with John McCain!!!!!!!!!!!!

Palin hasnt heard Kissinger say “Yeah”

An interesting funny article here at Daily Kos. The joke is an extreme of deductive reasoning, but its funny. The reasoning for the above claim is as follows:

————————

1) Palin met Kissinger

2) When asked about Kissinger’s opinion that we should meet with Ahmadinejad without preconditions, Palin says “I’ve never heard Henry Kissinger say, “Yeah, I’ll meet with these leaders without preconditions being met.”

3) But Kissinger has indeed said I’ll meet with these leaders without preconditions being met.”

4) So Palin hasnt heard Kissinger say “Yeah”

————————

Its like saying:

1) McCain is old

2) Dinosaur fossils are old

3) McCain is a dinosaur fossil

Hehe…

Funny, no?

Palin says “Reducing taxes got to accompany tax reductions”!! Whoa!

Palin’s probably competing with Bush for the lowest IQ.  Or just that she’s too tensed and under enormous pressure. In any case, she lays a strong argument for her not being in the White House. This from Palin’s last night’s interview with Katie Couric:

——————————————-

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

————————————————————————–

Bailout for providing healthcare? And reducing taxes gotta accompany tax reductions??!! Whoa!!

The mystery of McCain’s green screen at RNC last night

Found this article at Daily Kos

Green Screen Mystery Solved

Fri Sep 05, 2008 at 09:15:38 AM PDT

A lot of RNCC viewers were perplexed last night when McCain appeared from the light of the Obama logo, strolled to the podium, and began his lackluster speech before an enormous green screen.  We’d seen that lime green screen before and thought McGrinch had learned his lesson — it was not a good look for McCain and was widely panned by pundits and the public alike.  So, why would he choose that hideous background for the biggest speech of his very long political career?

It turns out the green screen was only part of the story.  The close-up at the podium made it appear to be a giant green screen, but the arena audience was treated to a much different image. [Image: Talking Points Memo]

Aaahhhhhh….much different.  McCain standing in front of a grand building, not a green screen.  And what building could possibly deserve such a prominent role as the main backdrop of McCain’s nomination speech? According to TPM Readers, , it is Walter Reed.  As in Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, California.

Wait, what?  Did they mean to have an image of Walter Reed Medical Center (an army hospital)? Ouch. If only they were a little better at “the google”, they might have recognized their mistake. Here is the Walter Reed Medical Center:

ABC News says says the McCain camp isn’t commenting. If they meant for the image to be Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, I’m sure we’d all love to hear why that fine school was selected for such an honor.

Between the lack of vetting on Sarah Palin and the botched presentation this decade week to the American people, the McCain camp would be well-advised to “do the google” a little more often. Let’s hope they have plenty of time to explore the world wide web in November and beyond.
